Basic Rules
Okay, here are some fairly obvious rules for submitting.
1) This board is for first and second party submissions only, so do NOT submit any characters who aren't owned by Nintendo.
2) I am not necessarily the final word on submissions. By a 2/3 veto, all of my down-votes can be overturned.
3) All forum rules still apply. I almost feel as if this is unnecessary to say, but someone's probably going to do it in a submission.
4) Tell us exactly what you're doing in the title. If I can't read the title and immediately know what I'm about to see, the submission will IMMEDIATELY be rejected.
5) SBL is SBL. All submissions to SBL are for SBL only unless otherwise stated. The inverse is true, as well, so no submissions which came from another site unless of course YOU were the one responsible.
6) If a submission originated from an alternate media and is most commonly attributed to the alternate media (for example, the Team Rocket duo of Jessie and James,) it WILL NOT be accepted.
Character Rules
1) No submitting characters with cloned move-sets.
2) You have to know what buttons and control-stick directions do what. Final Smashes are to be labelled accordingly.
3) Fighters that are incapable of any of the major fighting requirements (jump, swim, walk, and hold) for any reason will NOT be accepted.
4) When I post a character to the top-site, there is a specific structure I follow. Click here for a link to the structure thread.
5) While a complete moveset is appreciated, it is not required. I only need one of each Special, including the Final Smash, an entrance, taunt, stats, name, and game of origin.
Stage Rules
1) I want a map for the stages, even if it's just a black-and-white MS Paint doodle.
2) Same map? Better have something to counter that or it gets rejected.
3) Characters do not necessarily need a home stage, and vice versa. Do not feel mandated to post a character with a stage, or conversely a stage with a character.
