That couldn't be more true. Looking back at everything from SBO to Glass Owl, Fusion Lock, etc I was a completely immature dumb ass. I was friends with him in real life back in middle school. Haven't talked to him or seen him in around 3 or 4 years. How's he been? Same here. Everyone was to an extent save for a rare few. And he seems to be doing good. Thats good. Tell em I said hi if you're still communicating. I agree with the idea that a new forum is needed. I haven't done work with ProBoards codes in a good 5 years but i'd be willing to contribute in any way I can. Bill/Shawn was the best at that though. He designed Fusion Lock if I remember correctly.

I think if we were to try to redo the whole forum thing it would be best to actually have a new forum. It's kind of like Dill used to say, this one doesn't have that fresh smell on it. But if we were to do it here I think all it would need is some board reorganization. I'm not making new forums for SBL. Reorg., sure. Reskin, sure. But I refuse to create a third forum for this place. Outside of being a massive time-sink, it would drive you absolutely insane trying to redo all the top-site's links. It's one of the reasons why I restarted everything over there in the first place.

The only reason the idea of making a new one comes up is because it seems like anyone who visits any of the old forums still around they don't stay. =P

It's not gonna fix anything making new forums. Didn't help when I made these. It helped somewhat with the Glass Owl line, but only because everyone was still holding on to the community, which leads me to a cold, cruel, and sobering fact. Please forgive me for my bluntness. It simply needs to be said.
The Glass Owl and its descendants killed SBL. When SBO went belly-up, there were two forums that SBO members could go to, Glass Owl and SBL. Glass Owl held to the community, SBL held to the cause. Most people had lost interest in SBO's motives of a Smash Bros. fan-site, but still wanted to be in the community. SBL was certainly for the community, of course, but that wasn't the point, the point was to evolve SBO's concept. But then Glass Owl started to founder. Rather than realize the problem was lack of a shared interest, you thought it was because of simple ennui. And it kept happening, and you kept failing to see the ultimate problem, holding to the same belief. It was noble, I won't deny. But it was misguided, and ultimately, it killed both communities.
At the end of the day, what the post-SBO community needed was common ground. It was always here, waiting for the realization of the rest of the community. SBL isn't just going to go away because no one goes on. The post-SBO community isn't the monument that could have been, it's one that we can still build. We simply have to know what we're building. The foundations are laid, so let's get to work.
Does anyone else smell corn?

I dont see the ideal of SBO still working. I mean lets face it, we were all in middle school/early high school when we found SBO. Our creative juices were centered around our passion for video games. I dont have that passion anymore. Video games have become a social or nostalgia trip thing for me. Im not sure if everyone else is in the same boat though.

[BGM: www.youtube.com/watch?v=0U1YRZDyV0g ] *Walks slowly and approaches the group of familiar faces as he brushes his big cape back causing a good amount of air to blow among'st the group* Hmph, well well if it isn't the many members I used to associate myself with. I go snooping around the internet on my desk due to boredom and I happened to come across my old history, and this site happened to be one of them. So then I look at the recent post and you people are still lurking. Haha, quite the surprise. Also, obvious by the fact that you all don't remember me I'm known as 555/Wolf/Lord Wolf Jr. on SBO, also known as Taizo Hori on Glass Owl, Lucario the Stealth on Fusion Lock, and many other numerous names. Even though half of you people put me through a bullying torment the past few times I've been around you all, its in the past now, and I'm long over it and I kinda feel bad for what's now happening. Nowadays I'm just a busy now 21 year old, engaged, with a great job and life. Though I still do proboards, I'm an Evil Overlord/admin of a new made RP site called Tales of X (Cross). Ever since I was continuously disliked among'st the SBO-community up to the point of the Fusion-Lock days, I left and I've made friends with a new group of people on another forum which was originally another Smash Bros. Fansite then it kinda went through what you'll suffered but slowly got back together with some members along with new one's. So in the internet world, this time I'm the Evil Overlord playing my cards right, but I'm merely just visiting to see how you all been, no trouble shall be caused (...at all really...). So *snaps his fingers summoning his luxurious black chair and sits down with his legs crossed* ...what's up? And btw, Joe, my old buddy, its been seriously too long since that IFCA dump, how have you been??

Well, Joe, I should probably stress this: SBL wasn't built with nostalgia in mind. I do whole-heartedly welcome returning members, and I contacted all of you again pretty much to see how many would be willing to do so, but it wasn't out of a sense of obligation to the post-SBO community so much as out of a sense of obligation to SBL. If you want to stick around for the community, I welcome you to do so, because that was a secondary goal, and why I've been so accepting of turning SBL into the meeting place everytime DAN realized that his current forum wasn't working. I was a member of it too, and I did want it to thrive same as the rest. However, with regards to right now, that's not the reason I contacted everyone, my reason being stated in the e-mail. * BGM* Ah, Taizo Hori! Yeah! You were...uh...who were you? Seriously though. Welcome back.

Thanks for the welcome I guess, though is it so welcome?? *looks around and spreads his index finger on a dusty wall with a smug on his finger*

I'm kidding, dude, I actually remember you quite well. It's just fun breaking up melodramatic moments.
Also, impressive throne. I have one just like it in the store-room. The +25 Charisma boost is awesome, as is "Commanding Voice," but I hate the fact that it has Corruption so I don't break it out unless absolutely necessary. I much prefer my Barstool. +10 Charisma, +5 Alcoholism, and +10 Strength is a pretty kick-ass combo. The level 21 requirement is a bit of a drag since it takes friggin' years to obtain, though. You there yet?
Suddenly, you are unable to view the world without thinking in terms of role-playing games.

LOL I got most of that, but I have plenty of more thrones where that came from *snaps his finger again as a couple of thrones are summoned from a dark portal and surrounds them both in it, then sits on one of them*. But over and all its good to see you guys kickin around and about. Btw, here.
*Throws an invitation card towards Shrikeswind hoping he'd catch it* (You have an inbox)
